System Chaos Kilim by Edgar Bąk

Regular price €4.500,00 EUR

System Chaos explores the fine line between order and disorder. Built from a small number of geometric forms arranged in shifting configurations, the composition feels both structured and unpredictable, revealing new relationships each time it is viewed.

Designed by Edgar Bąk, one of Poland’s leading contemporary graphic designers, the piece reflects his ability to create complexity through reduction. Inspired by the ancient idea of chaos as the state from which the cosmos emerged, the design transforms a handful of shapes into a visual language that feels at once primordial and distinctly contemporary. The original Chaos kilim was acquired by both the Silesian Museum in Katowice and the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź.

Handwoven in Bobowa, Poland, from linen and wool, System Chaos translates a graphic composition into a richly tactile surface. Bold from a distance and increasingly nuanced up close, it rewards repeated viewing while bringing a quiet sense of movement to an interior.
