Where We Look

FAQ

  • Sometimes you should. Our role is not to stand between clients and makers, but to help navigate a much wider landscape. We connect designers, dealers, makers, and discoveries that may not otherwise appear in the same conversation.

  • Access is part of it, but not all of it. We spend time in markets, fairs, studios, workshops, and collections so that our clients do not have to. Just as importantly, we help filter, compare, and contextualize what we find.

  • A gallery typically represents a defined roster of artists or designers. Our role is broader. We move between designers, makers, vintage dealers, markets, fairs, and collections in search of the right object for each project.

  • Yes. We work closely with a select group of designers, makers, dealers, and restoration workshops whose work we believe deserves a wider audience.

  • We have a point of view, but not a house style. Every search begins with the client, the project, and the context. Our role is not to recreate the same aesthetic repeatedly, but to find the objects that best support the life of a space and the people who inhabit it.

  • Every search begins with understanding the project, the budget, and what the client is hoping to achieve. From there, we look for a balance of quality, usefulness, craftsmanship, originality, and context. We are often less interested in trends than in whether an object will remain compelling years from now.

  • No. We are interested in objects that combine utility, character, and longevity. Some are highly collectible. Others are simply well made and worth living with.

  • Not always. Exclusivity is less important to us than finding the right object. That said, many of the designers, workshops, dealers, and discoveries we encounter are not widely known outside their local markets.

  • Because the most interesting objects are not always the easiest to find. We believe proximity matters. Conversations, context, and firsthand encounters often reveal opportunities that never appear in a catalogue.

  • No. While many of our searches begin with interior designers, we also work with collectors, hospitality projects, businesses, and private clients seeking distinctive objects for their homes and spaces.

  • No. Italy is an important part of our network, but we source across Europe and beyond through designers, makers, dealers, fairs, exhibitions, and private collections. We follow the object, not the border.

  • Yes. Some searches begin with a detailed brief, while others begin with a reference image, a room, a material, or simply an idea. Every search is approached differently.

  • Yes. We can assist with individual pieces or broader searches spanning furniture, lighting, decorative objects, textiles, tabletop, and art.

  • Every search is different. Depending on the project, we may work on a commission basis, a sourcing fee, or a combination of the two.

  • Yes. We coordinate with makers, dealers, and shipping partners to help ensure pieces arrive safely and efficiently. Depending on the project, we work with both international carriers and specialized logistics providers experienced in transporting furniture, antiques, artwork, and other fragile or valuable objects.
