Grand Paris Kilim by Józef Czajkowski

Regular price €9.100,00 EUR

Grand Paris is a kilim with remarkable presence. Originally created by Józef Czajkowski, one of the leading figures of Polish modernism, the design reflects a moment when Polish artists and designers were introducing their work to an international audience and helping define a new visual language for the twentieth century.

Born in Warsaw, Czajkowski worked across painting, architecture, and design, bringing the same sense of clarity and proportion to each discipline. His work received international recognition at the 1925 International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts in Paris, where he was awarded a gold medal for the Polish Pavilion and the works exhibited at the Grand Palais. Grand Paris takes its name from that landmark moment.

Handwoven in Poland using traditional kilim techniques, this monumental textile carries the confidence and elegance of a design that has endured for a century. Whether displayed on a wall or integrated into an interior, it brings a sense of history, scale, and quiet sophistication to a space.
